Raiders beat Patriots by 23 : 6 | See Match Highlight: The Las Vegas Raiders played their fourth and final preseason game, hosting the New England Patriots on Friday night at Allegiant Stadium.
Key Point of this match 2022:
The Raiders are 4-0 (this is the first time in team history that the Raiders have gone undefeated in the preseason). The Patriots are 1-2.
The Raiders scored on the game’s opening drive in their fourth straight preseason game this summer. The starting lineup, filled mostly with backups, moved the ball well against most of New England’s starting defense on the opening drive.
Backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham, acquired this year in a trade with the Patriots, has been good throughout the preseason, hitting Jesper Horsted to make great plays. Later, freshman Zamir White, who will play Sunday in the fall, added a touchdown to give the Raiders a 10-0 lead in the first quarter,
The starting offensive line has played pretty well, and there’s a good chance Jermaine Eluemunor is the right Week 1 starter. Barton Jackson can be the swing offensive line, especially with rookie Thayer Munford injured.
Defensively, the Raiders got off to a nice start against the Patriots’ first-team offense, with third-year punter Malcolm Koonce getting a sack on Mac Jones, who struggled for more than a quarter of the game.
New England’s offense has been terrible all summer. He sure misses new Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels. The Patriots’ starters had just three points in three series against the Raiders’ backups.
The Raiders had four sacks and two interceptions, one by receiver Isaiah Zuber, who played safety late in the game. You’ve got to love the preseason. Zuber had the catch and the pick.
Raiders vs Patriots Highlights
The Raiders continued their great streak. They had just one penalty and had just 13 flags in four preseason games, a total of three in the last two games. Also, the Raiders didn’t turn the ball over the entire preseason. It was the first time in 11 years that an NFL team did not commit a turnover. This type of clean play means they are well trained and responsive. Like every preseason game this year, the Raiders jumped out to an early lead and were the best team on the field. It was a good summer.
What will be next For Raider :
The Raiders, who must be reduced to 53 players by 1 p.m. Tuesday, will play the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium on Sept. 11 in Week 1 of the regular season. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. PT.
